She shared a montage of embarrassing moments from her high school years with her classmates.Ĭiting her nerves at a freshman year track meet, Ledue encouraged the graduates saying, 'Whatever your goal is, it is completely achievable.' Sharing another memory from sophomore year, she told the audience that, 'Opportunities are so often disguised as obstacles.' 'Life has a way of guaranteeing us something - nothing is a guarantee,' she said.Ī self-professed introvert, Ledue noted the irony of her giving the address. In her address, Valedictorian Catherine Ledue suggested the wide openness of the future when she spoke of one of life's guarantees. By the end of the evening, the students had crossed the stage, collected their diplomas, sung 'Time of Your Life,' by Green Day, thrown their caps into the night and collected hugs and congratulations from family and friends. The night was filled with pomp and circumstance as the graduates marched in their red and white gowns to their seats on the football field. SANFORD - Cobb Stadium was awash with red and white as the young men and women of Sanford High School's Class of 2015 celebrated their academic achievement and the start of their new lives during their commencement ceremony.
